Mexico Location Scouting & Shoot Planning
A strong location has to serve both the image and the shoot. Start with a visual reference, then check how the place works for crew, sound, access and the time available.

Use real photographs as a starting point
The website includes 19 photographs made by Liu Jia in Mexico, covering town streets, architecture, mountains, coastlines and cultural settings. These are scouting references, not a promise of current availability or access.
Check the practical conditions
For a selected location, discuss natural light at the planned time, ambient noise, crew access, equipment unloading, power needs and weather alternatives. Further research and visits can be scoped around the shortlist.
Connect scouting to the production plan
Once the setting is chosen, confirm the responsible contact, approved areas, schedule and practical arrangements before locking the call sheet. Aerial ideas need a separate feasibility check for the specific location and operation; a portfolio film does not establish permission for a future shoot.
